With one of the big four accountancy firms pulling out of the small business sector, Chris Wallace, Managing Director, Visionary Accountants, St Albans considers the benefits of getting local financial advice.
Last week KPMG confirmed that after just four years offering accountancy services to the small business sector they plan to close this business. The service offered cloud-based bookkeeping to small businesses and was launched in 2015. Back then KPMG said it would ‘disrupt and dominate the SME market.’ KPMG spoke to Accounting Web and confirmed the closure last week saying it had written to clients and recommended they ‘make alternative arrangements.’
