Changes to the minimum wage effective from 1/10/15

From 1 October 2015, the National Minimum Wage rate will change as follows:

Workers Rate from 1 October 2015:

Age 21 and over £6.70
Age 18 to 20   £5.30
Age 16 and 17   £3.87

Apprentices Rate from 1 October 2015:

Age 19 and over, but in the first year of their apprenticeship £3.30
Age 18 and under £3.30

Once an apprentice is aged 19 and in at least the second year of their apprenticeship, they are entitled to the relevant national minimum wage rate.
