Salary sacrifice schemes can be offered as part of your employee benefits package. Employees can give up a portion of their salary in return for some form of non-cash benefits. Examples of salary sacrifice benefits include employer contributions to registered pension schemes, childcare vouchers and ride to work schemes. Salary sacrifice can also be used to mitigate the costs of auto enrolment.
