The government is increasing the Employment Allowance from £2,000 to £3,000 with effect from 6th April 2016. The Employment Allowance was introduced to enable businesses and charities to reduce their employer Class 1 National Insurance (NI) Contributions.
Under the new guidelines, businesses with a sole employee who is also a director will no longer be eligible to claim the Employment Allowance. Most other businesses are eligible, however there are some exclusions. To find out more, please contact a member of our team on 01727 730550.
